The official authority of each Province will be so practiced as not to block or partiality the activity of the official authority of the Federation, and the official authority of the Federation will stretch out to the giving of such headings to a Province as may appear to the Federal Government to be essential for that reason.
The official authority of the Federation will likewise reach out to the giving of headings to a Province with regards to the development and upkeep of methods for correspondence announced toward the path to be of national or vital significance.
The official authority of the Federation will likewise stretch out to the giving of bearings to a Province with regards to the way where the official authority thereof is to be practiced to avert any grave threat to the harmony or peacefulness or monetary existence of Pakistan or any part thereof.
- Area 53 of the Constitution (Eighteenth Amendment) Act, 2010 (10 of 2010), discarded provision (2) of Art. 149, (w.e.f. April 19, 2010). The erased statement (2) of Art. 149, as embraced in 1973, that read :
